Basic Knowledge of Hydraulic System

Components:

A hydraulic drive system consists of 3 parts:

1. generator (hydraulic pump), driven by system an electric motor, a combustion engine or a windmill;

2. Valves, filters, piping etc (to guide or control the system);

3. Actuator (a hydraulic motor or cylinder) to drive the machinery.

Working principle of hydraulic system:

A hydraulic system is a drive or transmission system that uses pressurized hydraulic fluid to power hydraulic machinery.

When hydraulic transmission system works, oil bump transfers mechanical energy of motor to pressure energy of oil, then oil is transmitted to hydraulic cylinder, through hydraulic cylinder (or hydraulic motor), transfers pressure energy to mechanical energy of movable parts.

Hydraulic transmission system should meet force and speed demands of driven parts.

Hydraulic pressure is regulated through overflow valve.

Hydraulic flow direction is controlled by hydraulic control valve.
