Some Factors Influences on CNC angle Line Backmark Accuracy

Sometimes, CNC angle line users ask us:
Backmark or gauge line isn’t proper, we tries to adjust, however still 2-3mm error...

This reminds us about JX2020 CNC angle line delivered to Chinese customer in year 1995, customer did very simple machine installation when company moved to new place...
Q:What factors influence CNC angle line gauge line or backmark?
A:Pressing device & V type surface.
When steel angle enters machine, before punching action, pressing jaw holds angle to C type surface, thus ensure backmark stability. Without saying, any problems with these 2 mechanisms will lead to backmark error.
As pic. above shows: Wear occurs when pressing jaw works long time, distance between pressing jaw and angle makes angle processing unstable, and causes backmark error.
This pic shows V type surface, wear also occurs after long term usage. Try to keep 90°A and B surfaces.

Another reason for backmark inaccuracy: not enough strength of pressing cylinder. When angle enters or comes out, pressing area is smaller. SUPERTIME provides with stronger type CNC angle line with vertical pressing cylinder structure for problem-solving.

Stainless Steel Drilling (Part 1)

About stainless steel:
Stainless steel, simply referred to as SS, has several distinct characters, such as plasticity, work hardening, easy to accumulate shavings, which are always worsen processed surface.
Why difficult to drill?
1. Cutting force is 25% higher than 45# carbon steel (normalizing), with higher hardening level and in depth.
2. Lower thermal conductivity, 1/3 of 45# carbon steel, produces more heat and leads to higher cutting temperature.
3. Drill to fast or too slow, makes stainless steel work-hardened, makes even harder to drill through.
4. Due to high cutting temperature, work hardening, carbide existing forms foreign inclusion, drilling tools are easily to wear, have low durability.

Two aspects of processing difficulties:
SS has less machinability than carbon steel, the drilling of SS even worse than the lathe work of it. Therefore, drilling SS has the following 2 aspects:

1. High plasticity and tenacity bring adhesion abrasion to drilling tool. With low heat and thermal conductivity make hard to dissipate heat during drilling. Irrational geometric angle of drilling tool leads to high abrasion and low durability.


2. The banded chips are easy to hurt people and hard for drilling fluid injection. It’s necessary to change the geometric parameters, choose rational cutting output.
Some suggestions:
To enhance drilling tools durability, guarantee chip breaking and removal, it’s necessary to choose the right drill bit, hand pressure, drill speed, keep drilling tools cool. Apart from this, should change the geometric parameters, rational cutting output.

How to choose Structural Steel Fabricating Band Saw?

Band saw machine has many type, they differ in function, configuration, features etc.

1. Consider your costs and precision:

How To Choose Drills?

To drill holes 0-40mm in diameter, we can choose carbide drill, with good solidity and drilling performance, generally applied in high speed drilling equipment, in boiler, bridge, shipbuilding, wind power, nuclear power etc. In comparison with twist drill, efficiency is increased 3 times.
And sometimes when drilling holes it’s not necessary to cut off all the metal with chips and shaving. So the most economic way is to use trepanning drill, by driving drills into socket and turn the shank, round slots can be made by removing the metal in form of disk and leaves a hole on steel plates.

This method can reduce material waste and machine power consumption. When the sample is removed for performance testing, the trepanning drill is the unique tool which can’t be replaced by others.
ADVANTAGES:
Drill as deep as you want. There’s virtually no limit to the depth of the hole.
Save core for reuse. As the trepanning tool feeds into the work piece, the trepan bit or insert cuts a groove the width of the bit and a solid metal core remains. Because only the width of the bit is cut, trepanning is faster and more efficient than drilling with spades or indexable drills. Remove and reuse the metal core for other operations and cut your material costs even more.

One Chart Makes Beam Drill Line Efficiency Clear

CNC H beam drilling machine is widely applied in steel structure, construction, building, stereo garage, elevator, bridge and other industries.

Choosing machine model according to beam size. 

For stereo garage and elevator industries, H beam size is usually no more than 400x400mm, you can choose SUPERTIME SWZ400 series beam drilling machine. 3 or 9 spindles for choice, 9 spindles for drilling holes with different parameters and doesn't need to change drill bits.  
If beam size is max. 1000x500mm, SWZ1000 is the right model. For beam size max. 1250x600mm, you can choose SWZ1250.
